Since 2006, V22 has provided affordable workspaces, managing 20 sites across north and southeast London, often involving subdivision and capital improvements.

V22 currently operates 10 diverse buildings – from industrial warehouses to historic properties – offering self-contained spaces ranging from 75 to nearly 6,000 square feet. These sites house 243 affordable workspaces, three public libraries, six community studios, and two community gardens.

V22 supports 368 studio holders, including artists, makers, creative businesses, social enterprises, and freelancers. Its community spaces and libraries see thousands of annual visitors, with libraries alone receiving over 400,000 visits each year. With occupancy at 98.7%, V22 maintains long waiting lists for popular locations and smaller studios.

The organisation’s affordable studios contribute significantly to London’s standing as a global art capital, fostering economic growth, community well-being, and social capital through the arts.
