Paracarnival is an ambitious award-winning, disability-led arts organisation rooted in Carnival, performance, and creative arts practice.

Founded in 2010 as a grassroots initiative supporting disabled performers, Paracarnival CIC has, over the last 16 years, delivered more than 300 cultural projects across London and engaged with more than 10,000 collaborators.

Paracarnival’s focus is on activities for disabled adults, children and young people and for people with learning disabilities. Its year-round work spans large-scale public spectacle, costume and design including wheelchair and mobility-scooter costumes, accessible music and dance, painting, murals and collaborative performances.

Additional activities include workshops, wellbeing sessions, creative projects for isolated residents, youth programmes, intergenerational projects, exhibitions and volunteer training.
